Virtual Reality Screen Refresh Rate

This is the rate at which the display interprets images. A value of 90 Hz is said to be optimal for content consumption of any sort. 

Field of View (FOV)

FOV is the extent to which the display can support eye and head movement. A field of view of 100-180 degrees is said to be ideal for most VR devices.

A deviation from these standards can cause users to experience some time-gap between the actions they take and the corresponding response coming from the screen, which will, in turn, lead to a poor VR experience.
